October 1st 1869 marked the beginning of a worldwide success story - the first portcard ever started its journey in Austria-Hungary. Even nowadays, sending and receiving of postcards still is a beloved tradition. Sent from holidays, for an anniversary, to friends, family or strangers via Postcrossing - there is always a good reason to send a postcard or two. On October 1st 2019 many people celebrated the 150th anniversary of the postcard. Following this tradition, Postcrossing declared October 1st to be World Postcard Day. We issue this postcard in English honoring this special day, every year!
