Every year on October 1, postcard enthusiasts around the world have been celebrating the postcard since 2020. Many postcards are sent on this occasion, bringing joy to people. We here at papersisters have been enthusiastic postcrossers for many years and have loved postcards for as long as we can remember. A special day – World Postcard Day! Every year on October 1, postcard enthusiasts around the world have been celebrating the postcard since 2020. Many postcards are sent on this occasion, bringing joy to people everywhere. We have designed this postcard with great pleasure for all postcard lovers in Germany. It is part of the international “WPD Stamp Series” and is perfect for sending a little love and compassion for World Postcard Day. Also great for collecting and swapping. Have fun writing and collecting!

World Postcard Day has been celebrated worldwide on October 1 for several years now. We are delighted to offer you a fantastic maxi card as a special souvenir for World Postcard Day 2025. The maxi card consists of a German letterbox postcard by papersisters, a cute “Felix Hase” stamp from 2014, and the matching special postmark from Deutsche Post in honor of World Postcard Day 2025. Each card is unique. Therefore, there may be slight variations from the image. While stocks last. Please note - the stamp is canceled and sending this card requires additional standard postage!  

October 1st 1869 marked the beginning of a worldwide success story - the first portcard ever started its journey in Austria-Hungary. Even nowadays, sending and receiving of postcards still is a beloved tradition. Sent from holidays, for an anniversary, to friends, family or strangers via Postcrossing - there is always a good reason to send a postcard or two. On October 1st 2019 many people celebrated the 150th anniversary of the postcard. Following this tradition, Postcrossing declared October 1st to be World Postcard Day. We issue this postcard in English honoring this special day, every year!
