In the 20 years of its existence, over 80 million postcards have already been sent. Some travel only a few kilometers within a country, others cover many thousands of kilometers. Each card is unique and simply brings joy. Many friendships have been formed over the years and people get connected via postcards. Congratulations on 20 years of postcard joy with more to come!

On July 14, 2005, the first postcard was sent via Postcrossing - the beginning of an incredible success story. In the 21 years of its existence, over 87 million postcards have already been sent. Some travel only a few kilometers within a country, others cover many thousands of kilometers. Each card is unique and simply brings joy. Many friendships have been formed over the years and people get connected via postcards. We all enjoyed the big anniversary of 20 years of Postcrossing in July 2025 so we decided to just continue the celebration.Congratulations on 21 years of postcard joy with more to come! Please note - this design is printed on a slightly different material to our other cards and pens and stamps may need a little more time to dry.

In March 2017, a success story began - the first editions of our international postcard series "Happy Postcrossing from" aka HPC were launched. We dedicate these cards to countries, some countries already several editions, regions, sometimes a special city, seasons and special occasions. After almost exactly 5 years we celebrate the 100th issue of a HPC postcard - with an anniversary edition! Who could have guessed this? We are happy to celebrate and invite you to join in.

Postcrossing is connecting people around the globe via postcards. Different countries, cultures, values, believes, experiences and standpoints. That is what makes it so enriching and valuable - a global peace project in small steps.

Bielefeld - once a year this city becomes a mecca for Postcrossing friends from all over the world. Writing and signing cards, making friends, simply having a good time together.

We took great care in designing this rubber stamp for you that puts you in a position to stamp the postcard ID for your Postcrossing postcards rather than to write them. 11 adjustable rubber stamp elements do the magic. The first two digits are letters and represent your country, so you switch to NL if you are in the Netherlands, FI if in Finland, US for the United States, CA for Canada, ES for Spain and so on.
