For the lovers of Maximum postcards we have created a beautiful new issue. The Zollverein coal mine is an impressive industrial monument and belongs to the world heritage. In January 2023, Deutsche Post honored this place with a beautiful special stamp. We have combined it here for you with our postcard Travel Zeche Zollverein. This card holds a corresponding special cancellation mark "Bergbau im Ruhrgebiet" of May 2023. Attention - small edition only! In case you plan to send out this postcard be informed it still requires postage.

Going by numbers of inhabitants, Northrhine-Westphalia is the biggest state in Germany. Many people mean big cities, industry and many cars - yes! But there is so much more that that - rich culture, beautiful nature, great sports just to name some aspects. Take a closer look and you see it is well worth it! Whether "Eiffel Tower of the Ruhr" or "most beautiful coal mine in the world" - there are many descriptions for the Zollverein coal mine. No doubt, this former coal mine in Essen is a highlight of German industrial culture and, as such, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. A visit is definitely worthwhile!

Allotment gardens form green oases in often densely built-up cities. You can grow vegetables and flowers, tinker with the arbor, relax and meet like-minded people. Often there are long waiting lists for a free space!
